BIO / BACKGROUND HISTORY:
Gráinne was born in the year 238. She was found abandoned as a very young and sick infant by a Daughter of Gaia, who saved her life. She lived a normal and comfortable life with her mother, father, and papa. From a young age she was taught magic by her mother.
She was 12 years old when the first colonists arrived in Mardrun, however it would be several more years before she ever saw a single colonist. She and her childhood friend, Freydis, got up to the usual childhood mischief but as they grew up something else began to blossom between them and when they were old enough, the two were mated.
In 261 Gráinne and Freydis met Kló, a Grimward woman who was tasked by her family to help care for the farm of an aging widow in the community. They quickly struck up a friendship with the outsider and were nearly inseparable. Occasional trips to the market all together in the newly founded Aylin’s Reach after the first civil war were some of her favorite memories. She loved taking in the foreign technology and magics.
Freydis was a skilled blacksmith and did work for pack Wetfinger in simple everyday crafts – nails, buckles, and the rare weapon and armor repair. This was why it was such a surprise when she told Gráinne that she would be leaving with a hunting party to explore the Dirge Swamp. They fought bitterly about whether or not she should go, but Freydis held her ground and left. They were never seen again. All that was found was an abandoned campsite. All that was recovered was Freydis’ hammer.
In another devastating turn of events, Kló also left the settlement to live in Aylin’s Reach. Kló told her that even after severing ties with her birth-clan, she felt like too much of an outsider even after many years in Clan Spiritclaw’s territory. Blessedly she still had her parents to support her, but Gráinne’s heart was shattered. Still, she put on a brave face and supported her community by taking over as the pack’s blacksmith.
With the eruption of the second Ulven civil war and the emergence of Clan Stonetooth, Gráinne believes it’s her duty to continue what Freydis started. She intends to travel to learn more about the history of her people and uncovered any secrets that these mysterious sinister forces want so desperately to keep hidden.
