Event Summary:
After returning to Onsallas Outpost, a number of travelers and adventurers joined members of the Coalition in day-to-day activities and also in pursuing different goals of their own. Merchant wagons arrived to peddle wares and trade with the village of Onsallas and a handful of those arriving were interested in helping with the war effort. As supplies were gathered, some of the secrets of the Ulven orb and the unique corruption site outside of the outpost were discovered.
The orb, as it turns out, is a means to find something or a specific place. Following the orb, a strange box was uncovered in the swamp. Its contents revealed bits of Ulven history, a cryptic message, and some mysterious items. It is suspected that the orb now points to another item lost or purposely buried in the swamp, which many hope will continue to reveal more clues as to the meaning behind the orb and the locations it points to in the swamp.
Clan Ironmound has strong-armed the Coalition and Clan Nightriver into heading up an expedition to find whatever it is in the swamp and even Clan Grimward has made claims that they intend to search for it as well. The second destination the orb is pointing at lies closely to the west, and a small group of adventurers are heading to the coastal settlement of Serai. This May’Kar settlement is the most northwest village in known territory and an abandoned outpost nearby is to be the staging ground for an expedition further into the swamp. With increased mordok activity all across Mardrun, it is feared that this expedition could prove to be extremely dangerous… only time will tell if the reward of discovery in the swamp is worth the cost to get there.
After Event Summary:
A combined group of unlikely allies set out into the swamp on the expedition deep into the Dirge. Wargah Grimward and a handful of her warriors and supporters joined forces with various colonist and Ulven allies to work together to uncover the secrets that lay hidden deep in the Dirge Swamp. Travelers with no Clan markings and who refused to identify themselves had attacked Grimward’s party prior to meeting near the settlement of Serai, but further into the swamp only the Mordok seemed to be the most relevant threat.
Weeks went by and clues were followed to a place where a cache was discovered. Inside it, were sagas written by Ulven. Some of them were known to Ulven already, but were strange… the battles of legendary heroes against monsterous Mordok told the same tale but instead did battle against some unknown Ulven of almost equal legendary status. These sagas were identical, but depicted as a lethal battle of Ulven versus Ulven instead of Ulven versus Mordok.
After the group barely escaped when Mordok attacked and the convoy fell apart, survivors found themselves heading south to known lands. Once what was found was reported to Gustav, Clanleader of Clan Ironmound, it was quickly brought to light with Clan Ironmound claiming the honor and glory of such a momentous discovery of Ulven history.
