Bio & Background History:
Liva Margitdottir of Clan Stormjarl was born to Knut and Margit in the year 241 along the Western coast of Mardrun. She had a peaceful childhood until the colonists came, rattling her world. Being as she was too young to fight or aid, her father stayed by her side and kept her safe. Her father was once a mighty warrior, but as he aged, he was plagued by an ailment, keeping him from the battlefield. Her mother, a shieldmaiden, never backed down from an honorable and worthy fight; she went to fight in the first Ulven civil war.
Her father, saddened to be parted from her and needing to find his new purpose and a way to provide for his daughter, started The Misty Dock, a tavern to serve the community. His plan was to be his mate’s first stop when she returned home, but fate was not on his side. Liva’s mother fell during battle, and never returned home. Her father soon followed and started his own Journey. It is unknown whether he succumbed to his ailment, or simply followed his mate to meet The Great Wolf.
Having lost both of her parents fairly close together, Liva took over the running of her father’s tavern, hell-bent on keeping his legacy alive. She is introspective in nature and always happy to lend an ear. She prides herself on aiding the weary that cross her threshold. However, Liva seems to have inherited her father’s ailment, slowing her down physically. She tries her best to keep this hidden from her patrons, but some days she is quieter than normal, and the rumors are spreading that she has the same congenital fate. Due to her limitations, Liva aids with her skill of mana transference. She knows it’s not much, but she yearns to help in any way she can.
Growing up along the sea, Liva has a special penchant and reverence for the water. She enjoys keeping shells and rocks from the shore on or near her. She insists that by having them close, she can feel Gaia’s Blessing. There is one shell in particular though that she is often seen fidgeting with, a shell given to her by her mother shortly before she left to fight. It is Liva’s most prized possession apart from The Misty Dock itself.
